We Are in Unchartered Financial Waters! every day we encounter challenges that have become the new standard. Although we previously perceived it as a crisis, we now acknowledge it as the new normal and must adapt accordingly. Given the current economic difficulties that the country is experiencing in 2024, how can we enhance our earnings during this period of adjustment? I cannot let my $680,000 savings vanish after putting in so much effort to accumulate them.

Here is something I figured out the other day. In the last five years gasoline and diesel prices have doubled (an increase of 100 percent), whereas the minimum wage has only increased by 66 percent for the same time frame. In the last five years food prices have doubled (an increase of 100 percent) in addition to home insurance increasing by 30 to 80 percent for the average homeowner. All of these factor into people having a lot less buying power than just five short years ago and my prediction is that this is just going to get worse.

Honestly the entertainers and athletes are already the 'middle class' if you did the math. Anyone below 8 figures a year is mathematically the lesser group of people. Not saying I need that much at all but it just shows how greed has broken capitalism big time. It's disgusting the wealth that we praise!!! What's enough for you and your loved ones? Let's be generous and say 20 million. Jeff Bezos, Musk the beloved Taylor Swift and the elites have so many more times that..imagine 50 to 70 times that which would take care of entire countries for centuries!!!!! I'm not saying people shouldn't do their part and work for their families, raise their kids right or that brilliant minds don't deserve a great life but that's a disgusting amount of wealth and we're all paying the price for it.

I left "Shithole" California almost 2 years ago and moved to Asia ! Now I have perspective of just how bad it is in "Hellhole" California, notwithstanding, the U.S. as a hole. I`m 69, and have worked in the private sector with fortune companies my whole career and have never seen anything like this ! Furthermore, Iv`e been educated in the retail industry and this market has all but collapsed, thus, there has been an evolutionary change in consumer spending habits that will never return to its original form...

During the Great Depression of the 30's, my Grandparents had 12 children. My Grandfather had to provide for 12 children and a homemaker wife, on one salary. Plus he had a 40 hour week job and 25 year mortgage. So, they got married in 1930 and by the end of the WW2, 1945, my grandparents achieved their goal. Now, we are in worst shape then the Great Depression. Couples are having 2 children, a 40 year mortgage and two people working 60 hours a week each and still can't make ends meet. Sad but true. Peace.

Many of the problems facing the US can be attributed to the overwhelming influence of the big corporations and elites who care nothing about a fair society. Or the environment for that matter. Their overwhelming preoccupation is and always has been ever increasing profits.

I feel like inflation can only be brought under control if citizens have basic faith in the society’s future. Hell, without the gold standard, there isn’t even any physical thing backing up our money. Money just a social agreement. Without faith in our money and the government that issues it, inflation will just spiral out of control.

A lot of truth here that I agree with, especially quantitative easing and the resulting inflation. But you can’t let the free markets operate without any guardrails. Left to their own devices, free markets will reward the most capable economic actors, leaving the rest in the dust. There will be neither Medicare nor social security, to name a few. That’s a recipe for a breakdown of society and severe unrest.

Every crash/collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass up to $1m amid crisis, and even pull it off easily in a favourable economy. Unequivocally, the bubble/collapse is getting somebody somewhere rich.
